Oncology and Hematology Build-Out
DGA’s Role: Construction Manager
Completion: 2020
The University of Rochester's Wilmot Cancer Institute included a Medical Oncology Infusion Center, which is a component of which is a component of Highland Hospital. The building, located in Greece NY, had previously been an office and before that, an indoor recreation park. The completed renovation features a large radiation and infusion center for chemotherapy, hematology or infusion therapy.
This construction project included a 2,300 SF addition to an existing building, totaling to 17,000 SF office and radiation imaging space. This is a single story medical office building and required specialty equipment to be positioned and installed.
A vestibule at the entryway was removed. A new front was placed and the sidewalk extended to shield patients from inclement weather. New sidewalks were established outside the building.
